Designing clear, conversion focused assets for a multi-channel eCommerce brand.

I designed product listing images for both Chicology Home and its sister brand YellowBlinds, tailoring visual styles to fit each audience. While Chicology required a clean, modern look to fit established home decor platforms, YellowBlinds leaned into fun, youthful layouts aimed at students and first-time renters. 

PRODUCT LISTING IMAGES

When designing product shots for non-consumable items like window blinds and shades, clarity and context are key. The main image must be clean, visually appealing, and zoomed out enough to show the full scale of the product, especially important for large items like expanded blinds.

Using Chicology mini blinds as an example, I showcased the product in a styled room both open and closed to give shoppers a sense of light control and appearance. The main image must clearly showcase the full product in a flat, front-facing view to meet marketplace standards and customer expectations. Supporting images included close-up shots of the cordless mechanism, emphasizing safety features like the twisting wand and child-safe headrail design. Additional detail shots featured color swatches and hardware components to help customers visualize texture, finish, and fit.

The product imagery was designed with a clean, modern aesthetic that resonates with Chicology’s core audience of middle-aged homeowners.

The Yellowblinds product imagery embraces a colorful, youthful aesthetic tailored to first-time renters and young adults furnishing dorms or apartments. Bright room scenes, cheerful color palettes, and playful compositions help differentiate the brand.
